When we arrived at the church we found the console area covered up and folding chairs put up to keep people out.

After we uncovered the area Richard was able to cut the old cable free, and beginning with the mains, pull the old cable out. The last cable was attached to the new cable and a pull string in case they ever want to add anything else. The new cable is the light gray, with the pull string running out of the picture. Then we began to cut off the old blower and power lines, and that was when we found out that the power was NOT off, which was exciting.

After the blaze of glory, we were able to put the console shell in place. Here Dave McCahan is getting it exactly in the old marks.

During power failures and while waiting for parts to arrive, Richard Alford cleaned up the shell, applied stain and varnish as needed, and then he polished it all up. The result was splendid.

Except for the cracking of the water marks on the console lid, which you have to look for, it looks like a new piece of furniture.

Completed console.

Transposer, memory level, and nameplates.

MIDI Resource Center.

Pedals and shiny new toe studs, and all new labels.

Up in the organ chamber a new relay receives the data from the console and spreads it to all sections of the organ.
